The CarboClear X Thoracolumbar Pedicle Screw System by CarboFix Spine is an ALL-Carbon fibers implant system for use in degenerative and oncologic procedures. The Screw shanks are composed of a CFR-PEEK (carbon fiber reinforced-PEEK) and a titanium outer shell coating for bony integration. The tulip heads are composed of carbon fiber as well as the locking screw cap and rod. It is intended for open procedures only. Benefit of the CarboClear X system is minimal to negligible artifact on MRI and CT allowing better postoperative visualization. Allows better radiation delivery in oncologic patients.
