DESCRIPTION

The DuraFuse Bioabsorbable Dural Closure clip by NeuraMedica is a novel dural closure device intended to expidite the process of closing the dural in open and minimal access surgery. The DuraFuse clip is injection molded from a common bioabsorbable polymer in the closed position. A reusable applier opens the clip and is placed over the everted dural edges for dural closure. Multiple clips may be used in tandem to close linear dural openings. This can be done wihtout the need for further tissue sealants or dural patches. The clips resorb within 6-8 weeks leaving no residual. The clips are radiolucent and dissolve completely leaving no trace behind.
