Irix-A by Xtant Medical is a standalone zero profile ALIF spacer with an integrated locking mechanism, intended for anterior fusion procedures at one or two continuous levels of the lumbosacral spine. It is made of titanium plasma-coated PEEK with an encapsulated titanium ring. The titanium plasma coating on the toothed surfaces provides better x-ray visibility of the endplate, and aids in migration resistance and osteointegration. A titanium ring within the PEEK body provides increased torsional strength, and x-ray visualization of the implant as well. The zero step integrated locking arm creates tactile, audible, and visual feedback to indicate screw retention.
