Paramount by Spine Wave is an anterior cervical interbody device made of roughened titanium with integrated fixation plates. The self-contained anchor plates minimize exposure, providing a less invasive and zero profile implant. A threaded deployment mechanism avoids aggressive impaction, and the angle of deployment is directed away from the spinal cord and toward the anterior aspect of the vertebral body improving bony purchase. Both anchor plates deploy simultaneously, simplifying and streamlining the procedure. The system allows for a back-filling grafting technique, and the open architecture allows for the graft material to be placed in front of the anchor plates in addition to the graft chamber, and is then held in place with a PEEK/barium sulfate graft containment plate.
