The CarboClear Hybrid Pedicle Screw System by CarboFix Spine is a carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (CFR-PEEK) screw system that features a titanium coating on the screw post and a titanium tulip head and cap. This differs from the CarboClear X in that the X system is ALL CFR-PEEK including the heads. The CarboClear Hybrid with the titanium tulip allows for the option of percutaneous towers and a higher screw conical angulation of 54 degrees vs 34 degrees with CarboClear X. The titanium coating of the screw posts allows for increased bony integration.
