Spider by Xtant Medical is an anterior cervical plating system with a novel single step locking mechanism created to streamline ACDF procedures. Its resilient locking arm technology allows the locking arm to move aside during screw placement and then "click" back over to capture and lock the screw, providing audible, tactile, and visual feedback. This monoblock design minimizes potential complications due to failure of assembled, secondary locking mechanisms. The plates also have a serrate bottom surface to aid in placement prior to screw fixation.
