DESCRIPTION
VITOSS is a synthetic allograft for use in spinal fusion procedures and is composed of Beta-Tricalcium phosphate. IT is highly porous and is meant to be rehydrated with bone marrow aspirate. It is available in 3 forms:
- VITOSS: Composed of Tricalcium phosphate
- Available in foam pack 1.2, 2.5, 5, 10cc
- Form strip: 5, 10, 20, 24cc
- Morselized container Powder: 5, 10, 15, 30cc
- VITOSS BA (Bioactive Glass) Contains both Tricalcium phosphate and bioactive glass
- Available in Foam pack and foam strips
- VITOSS BA2X Similar to the BA but with twice the amount of Bioactive Glass.
- Available only in foam pack
- VITOSS Bimodal: Contains bioactive glass in multiple size particles to stimulate calcium bone production. The larger range of bioactive glass particles stimulates the production of gel layer that causes ion exchange for Calcium and leads to the deposition of bone
- Available in Bioactive foam pack and foam strip
