DESCRIPTION

The CerviCore Cervical Artificial disc was a disc originally developed by SpineCore who was developing the CerviCore Cervical disc and the FlexiCore lumbar artificial disc. SpineCore was acquired by Stryker and continued in developemdent and underwent a clinical study implanting 240 arificial discs. The study was closed after many patients developed metallosis. The FDA did not give approval.
