The Miethke proGAV 2.0 by Aesculap is an MRI compatible adjustable differential pressure valve for then treatment of hydrocephalus in pediatric and adult patients. It is the second generation of MRI compatible adjustable valves and features a titanium housing with a mechanically depressed top that unlocks the adjustable rotor allowing reprogramming of the valve. The differential pressure valve uses a ball-in-cone design that is tensioned to spring whose pressure is determined by the rotation of the central rotor. Pressure ranges from 0-20 cmH2O.
