DESCRIPTION

The Activ-C Cervical artificial disc originally produced by Aesculap (parent company B. Braun) is a ball and socket Metal-on-poly discign cervical disc arthroplasty device developed but never FDA approved. The disc has been used internationally but Aesculap focused attention on the Activ-L disc replacement obtaining FDA approval. The endplates features a titanium plasma sprayed coating for increased texturing and bony adherence and endplated featured an anatomic curvature for easy fitment.
