Antisiphon Properties: Gravitational Antisiphon
The Miethke proSA (pro Shunt Assist) is the first generation adjustable gravitational position-dependent anti-siphon valve. It features a tantalum weight cantelevered to a ball-in-cone valve that when standing, the downward weight of the ball pushes the sapphire ball into the ball-in-cone mechanism to restrict flow. The adjustable spring works to alter the effect of the weight on the ball to vary the pressure required to open the valve ranging from 0 to 40 cm H2O. This valve is intended to be used in tandem downstream from a differential pressure valve.
