DESCRIPTION

The Salvo 4.75 Modular Thoracolumbar Spine Fixation System by Spine Wave is a low profile modular pedicle screw system that allows the surgeon the flexibility to either assemble the screw in situ after decompression, or to pre-assemble the screw prior to insertion. Salvo Modular Fixation Technology enables manual or navigated insertion of the screw prior to decompression or interbody implantation, and then the tulip can be attached using the head inserter which provides positive confirmation of assembly with a click of a button. The overall screw design provides easy screw adjustment, 60 degrees of polyaxial angulation, triple lead thread for faster insertion, 2.0 mm pitch for optimal purchase in cortical bone, and an anti-splay locking screw with bow tie thread form. Screws are manufactured of all titanium and the 4.75 diameter rods are available in CoCr and Ti alloy. Screwdrivers have the same footprint as the locking screw for ease of use, and a variety of rod manipulation and reduction instruments are available for surgeon preference.
