The PS Medical Strata NSC valve by Medtronic is an adjustable shunt valve without an antisiphon Delta Chamber (NSC = No Siphon Control). It utilizes the same adjustable control system on the Strata II with 5 pefromance levels (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5). The Strata NSC utilizes a handheld reading and adjustment tool but does not have a locking mechnism and therefore susceptible to movement with MRI and requires adjustment or checking after an MRI.
